April 28, 2008 - Joan Cawley Gallery would like to announce that the prestigious Booth Museum of Western Art, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institute, has added Michael Swearngin's work to its permanent collection. "Cowgirl and the Vaquero", an acrylic on canvas, now resides in the museum's permanent collection in Cartersville, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. The piece is valued at over $14,000.

Michael has a unique, powerful style that lends itself to an old western feel with a contempoary look. Please come into the gallery or check out our website for more of Michael's recent work.

Congratulations to Michael on this great honor!
