An avid hiker and trail runner, Kathy's love of the outdoors is apparent in her bold, abstracted landscapes. Using brushstroke, palette knife, and color in richly textured compositions, she strives to interpret the emotion and energy she experiences in
relation to each subject. Starting most landscapes on location, these small studies provide the inspiration and source material for larger paintings created in the studio.
